Gallery and Museum Track Lighting — Applications

Applications

Gallery and Museum Track Lighting

Gallery track lighting is the least forgiving application: evenness, colour rendering and beam edges are all visible on the wall, immediately.

Gallery and Museum Track Lighting: what the lighting has to do

Even wall washing

Uneven light on a flat wall reads as a mistake. Spacing and aiming have to be calculated, not guessed.

Colour rendering first

CRI 95+ where the budget allows. Below 90, pigments shift and the work is misrepresented.

Defined beam edges

Framed work wants a crisp edge; sculpture wants a soft one. Choose optics per object.

Control the ambient

Keep the room level low so the artwork carries the contrast.

Protect the work

UV and heat at the object surface matter for sensitive pieces. Confirm per project.

Re-hang without re-wire

Exhibitions change. Track lets the lighting follow the hang.

Which system suits this space

Galleries need the cleanest ceiling and the ability to re-aim constantly — and often multiple scenes across one space.

48V Magnetic — clean and flexible

Ultra-slim profile with modules that move as the hang changes.

6-Wire — multiple scenes

Where one space runs several lighting scenes or a control channel.
